WAYNE LAWRENCE ( b. 1974) is a St. Kitts born documentary fine art photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. His work represents a visual diary of his life’s journey and focuses on his relationship to communities otherwise overlooked by mainstream media. Wayne’s photographs have been exhibited at the Open Society Institute, The Nathan Cummings Foundation, The George and Leah McKenna Museum of African American Art, The Corridor Gallery and The Calumet, and his first monograph titled, Orchard Beach: The Bronx Riviera, has just been published with Prestel Verlag.
