"'Love Cubes' is a board game that I devised while at Manchester. I photographed nine couples in the city centre, then photographed them separately, man and woman. You had to sort out who was going out with who by looking at the pictures to see who went together.
And then at the back of the box there was a contact print of the couple together, so you would have to see how many you got right out of the nine couples. It was all to do with whether we can tell who would be attracted to who." (© Martin PARR)
"Originally devised by Martin PARR in 1972, and finally released in 2007.
9 men, 9 women, 9 couples all photographed in black and white printed onto thick card in this quirky endearing card game." (publisher's note,© GUN, 2007)
