Biography

Melodie McDaniel (b.1967, Omaha, NE; lives in Los Angeles) is an American still photographer and film director who works with equal fluency in fashion, music, commercials, and fine art. Known for her immediate and candid lens, her work challenges prevailing motifs of American identity, with a deep investment in the exploration of sub and countercultures. McDaniel’s distinctive style of unearthing art within real people and raw environments has been sought out to create over 100 advertising campaigns to date for Fortune 500 companies.
